It was so great to see so many on Sunday morning worshiping  and in fellowship after way too many weeks apart!

We have more great news, regular service times will resume in the sanctuary beginning this Wednesday evening at 7:00pm.

Saturday morning men’s study 8:30am will resume this Saturday 5/23/2020

Sunday morning worship will resume in the sanctuary at 10:00 am. We will continue in 1 Corinthians.

Please note that there will be no children’s ministry available at this time. The classrooms will remain closed, however we encourage everyone to please sit together with your family.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Hebrews 10:24-25

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another.”

My friend Sherri Youngward posted a wonderful devotion and music that I emphatically recommend to you.  In it she notes that, in praise, "these declarations let faith take the lead!"  I cannot think of anything we need more today to combat fear, isolation and frustration about the uncertain future than "letting faith take the lead" in our lives.

Here is the link to Sherri's devotion... enjoy with joy and praise

Blessings to you,

We're so glad that you found us! Please take a look around and get to know us. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at

You can expect that we are happy to see you!

How wonderful and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony! - Ps 133:1 NLT

Sunday at Calvary Chapel is a time of fellowship. Doors open early and you are welcome to come and enjoy fellowship over a cup of coffee or tea before service starts.
We have a great children’s ministry team to take care of your children, so parents, especially Mom’s with deployed husbands can take a break with Jesus while their children are in a safe spiritual environment. Service begins with music that ranges from contemporary songs to hymns, followed by expository teaching of the word though the Bible, ending with a chance to digest the word. The body celebrates communion together on the first Sunday of the month. You are welcome to hang out afterwards to enjoy fellowship, and we encourage you to make friends and build strong Spiritual relationships.

For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. - Gal 5:13 ESV

There are lots of opportunities to serve at Calvary Chapel of Jacksonville both small and large. Because Jacksonville is a transient town we like to give you the opportunity to get to know us while
we are getting to know you. We encourage you to join us for service oriented ministry.

Calvary Chapel of Jacksonville is a non-denominational fellowship and community of Christians which gives preeminence to the worship of the Lord Jesus Christ, the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the study of the Word of God, and training in Godliness. (John 4:24, 2 Timothy 4:2, 2 Timothy 3:16-17).

What we believe.

We believe the only basis of Christian fellowship is Christ’s (Agape) love, which is greater than any differences we possess, and without which we have no right to claim ourselves as Christians.

We would like to thank you for your contribution to the Lord’s work.

2 Corinthians 9:7-8
So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a
cheerful giver. And God [is] able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having
all sufficiency in all [things], may have an abundance for every good work.

Calvary Chapel is a 501(C)3 organization and donations are tax deductible.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.

                 Jeremiah 29:11-13
