WE DO PROVIDE CHILDREN'S MINISTRY FOR OUR SUNDAY SERVICE. CALVARY KIDS MINISTERS TO CHILDREN FROM 3 MONTHS TO 5TH GRADE. EACH CLASS IS PROVIDED A BIBLE STUDY DESIGNED FOR THEIR AGE. OUR CURRICULUM IS FROM ANSWERS IN GENESIS.

SECOND, IT CARES FOR THE NEEDS OF THE CHURCH BODY. THIS INCLUDES ANSWERING QUESTIONS AND HELPING WITH PHYSICAL NEEDS. THEY PROVIDE CARE AND COMFORT FROM THE FRONT DOOR ALL THE WAY TO THE BACK DOOR, INCLUDING WHEELCHAIR SERVICE FOR THE DISABLED AND SENIORS. THIS IS THE "HONOR ROLL" FUNCTION OF THEIR MINISTRY.

CALVARY CHAPEL CURRENTLY SITS AS THE PRESIDENT AND CHAIR OVER ONSLOW COUNTIES RE-ENTRY COUNSEL. WE HAVE ACCEPTED THIS RESPONSIBILITY IN THE SPRING OF 2026. OUR HOPE IS TO BRING THE GOSPEL IN TEACHING AND CARE TO ALL OF THESE MEN AND WOMEN BEING GIVEN ANOTHER CHANCE AT LIFE.

What children’s ministry does CCJNC offer?
Calvary Kids serves children from 3 months through 5th grade during the Sunday 10:00 AM service. Classes use Answers in Genesis curriculum designed for each age. Check-in begins at 9:45 AM. New families should allow a few extra minutes. A private space is available for nursing mothers.
Does Calvary Chapel Jacksonville have a youth group?
Yes. Students in grades 6–12 meet every Friday night (dinner provided) with additional beach trips, retreats, outreach, and missions opportunities. On Sundays teens join the main service and are invited to serve with adults in most ministries, including worship.
How can I volunteer or serve at CCJNC?
Each ministry section has a “Get Connected” or “Serve Form” button. All volunteers are required to complete a background check because every ministry is near the children’s ministry. This is for the protection and safety of our families.
When do Men’s and Women’s Bible studies meet?
Men’s studies are held on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM at the church. Men’s Wing Night happens when a month has a fifth Tuesday (Buffalo Wild Wings at 7:00 PM). Women’s studies are the second and fourth Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM at the church. Women’s Brunch is held when a month has a fifth Tuesday.
What is the Connections ministry?
Connections has two main functions. It welcomes newcomers, answers questions, and helps them get plugged in. It also cares for the needs of the church body, including wheelchair service for seniors and those with disabilities (Honor Roll). You will see their table as you walk in the door.
What is Bean Redeemed Café?
Bean Redeemed is our coffee and refreshment ministry. It provides free drip coffee, hot chocolate, water, and snacks, and also offers made-to-order refreshments. Proceeds support outreach and missions. The ministry is currently transitioning into a coffee truck. Contact Pastor Matt on a Sunday morning if you’d like to help.
How can I get involved in worship?
The Worship Ministry welcomes auditions. We encourage teens to participate as well. There is no preference of instrument or music style. Roles include singers, instruments, audio tech, ProPresenter tech, and setup/breakdown. Worship aims to keep Jesus central with minimal distraction.
What is Calvary CRTV?
Calvary CRTV encourages the church and shares the gospel through artistic expression. Ways to serve include social media, photography, videography, graphic design, and web design.
What outreach and missions does CCJNC do?
We do local evangelism and outreach through regularly scheduled community events. We support international ministries with regular missions trips, a goal of 10% of giving to missions, and a developing coffee business. We are currently focused on Uganda, Kenya, and Trujillo, Peru (heading to Peru this summer).
What is Sober and Vigilant (CCSV)?
Sober and Vigilant is a dedicated ministry to help people humble themselves under the mighty hand of God and overcome sin. The goal is to lead people to salvation, healing, and wellness through the gospel. Insobriety comes in many forms; no one struggles in a way that others in the brotherhood have not already known.
What is the Onslow County Re-Entry ministry?
Calvary Chapel currently serves as president and chair of the Onslow County Re-Entry Council (accepted in spring 2026). The ministry meets monthly, focuses on community cooperation, and disciples those the Lord brings our way as they are given another chance at life.
What is CBI Military?
CBI Military is a night school Bible institute designed for working adults of our church. Students can complete the course in 2–3 years. It offers virtual and multi-location options and can continue in California and Okinawa, Japan.
What is the Calvary Bible Institute (CBI)?
Our church is partnered with the Calvary Bible Institute program. Pastor Ricky Rueda travels and teaches at CBI schools in the U.S. and internationally. CBI has locations all over the world, takes 1–2 years to complete, and are live-in programs designed for a rich understanding of the Word and thorough ministry training.
Are there classes for leadership or church planting?
Yes. Church Leadership is for anyone called into leadership (it is an addition to the CBI course, not a substitute). Church Planting and Missions prepares those being sent for short- and long-term missions as well as the necessary preparations for church planting.
What is the Prayer Ministry?
The Prayer Ministry contends for our services, ministries, and church body through prayer. Those involved meet at the church every Sunday before service and also pray over a weekly prayer list. Ways to serve include Sunday morning prayer and the emailed prayer team.
What are Home Fellowships?
Home Fellowships are held at different times and locations in the surrounding area. They are based on the studies already covered in recent weeks so we can meditate on the Word without becoming overwhelmed.
Is there a Safety Ministry?
Yes. The Safety Ministry oversees the safety of the church body with men and women stationed throughout the church. Serving requires special training and oversight because of the sensitive nature of the work. Speak with a Safety Team leader in person for more details.
Do you have a coffee ministry?
